are invited back to participate in our 17th annual Battle for
Broxton Bridge Reenactment on March 2 - 4, 2018. This reenactor
friendly event is hosted by Battery C, 32nd Georgia Artillery
2nd Georgia Regiment Co D, Burke Sharpshooters and sponsored
by Salt-Ketchers Chapter #6, Order of Confederate Rose. This promises
to be the biggest and best event ever thanks to your continued
The battle takes
at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday. Your participation will be greatly
appreciated. A bluegrass band is scheduled to play for the reenactors
p.m. after the battle Saturday. Living History Day for schoolchildren to tour is Friday, March 2nd, beginning at 9 a.m.
***NEW*** We will be having a "tactical" all day Friday and maybe Saturday morning this year at our 153rd Reenactment of the Battle for Broxton Bridge. It will be open to all branches and will be away from the mainstream site on the horse trails and other fields on the Plantation. There will also be an opportunity for those who wish to participate in School Day to do so as well during Friday's Activities. Unit Commanders in other branches interested in being in the Friday Tactical are requested to contact Dan Gregory in the near future via our 153rd Battle Of Broxton Bridge Facebook Event Page, email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 803 413 5731.
Even though a registration fee is
not required, it is necessary for you to pre-register by January
31st. This will enable us to
head count for the the free supper for the reenactors on Friday
the amenities given out on Friday night and for the free Sunday
morning full breakfast.
Bounties will be paid for the first 12
full-scale cannons and the largest Union infantry unit
to pre-register. Hay, water,
firewood and the Bath House will be provided for the reenactors.

You must contact Broxton Bridge Plantation for RV spots at 800-437-4868: 130 RV spots are available for campers @ $25
per night for water and electricity. There are also a limited
number of sites
and sewage @ $30 per night. For the convenience of campers
and re-enactors, there is a Bath House on site. There is
also a new 10-acre Primitive
Area campsite set up for the reenactors.
