To Our Friends,

You are invited back to participate in our 16th annual Battle for Broxton Bridge Reenactment on March 3 - 5, 2017. This reenactor friendly event is hosted by Battery C, 32nd Georgia Artillery and 2nd Georgia Regiment Co D, Burke Sharpshooters and sponsored by Salt-Ketchers Chapter #6, Order of Confederate Rose. This promises to be the biggest and best event ever thanks to your continued support.

The battle takes place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Your participation will be greatly appreciated. A bluegrass band is scheduled to play for the reenactors at 5:00 p.m. after the battle Saturday. Living History Day for schoolchildren to tour is Friday, March 3rd, beginning at 9 a.m.

***NEW*** We will be having a "tactical" all day Friday and maybe Saturday morning this year at our 152nd Reenactment of the Battle for Broxton Bridge. It will be open to all branches and will be away from the mainstream site on the horse trails and other fields on the Plantation. There will also be an opportunity for those who wish to participate in School Day to do so as well during Friday's Activities. Unit Commanders in other branches interested in being in the Friday Tactical are requested to contact Dan Gregory in the near future via our 151st Battle Of Broxton Bridge Facebook Event Page, email at rebelyell567@yahoo.com or call at 803 413 5731.

Even though a registration fee is not required, it is necessary for you to pre-register by January 31st. This will enable us to get a head count for the the free supper for the reenactors on Friday night, the amenities given out on Friday night and for the free Sunday morning full breakfast.

Bounties will be paid for the first 12 full-scale cannons and the largest Union infantry unit to pre-register. Hay, water, firewood and the Bath House will be provided for the reenactors.

You can download a registration form for the Battle for Broxton Bridge reenactment by clicking here, as well as the Rules and Regulations and the Reenactment Unit Registration form, or you may scroll up and download the .pdf files listed under the picture. Return the registration forms by mail to: Sandra or Bart Chassereau, PO Box 486, Estill, SC 29918, 803-625-3585, or you may scan the forms and email to: Dan Gregory: rebelyell567@yahoo.com.

You must contact Broxton Bridge Plantation for RV spots at 800-437-4868: 130 RV spots are available for campers @ $25 per night for water and electricity. There are also a limited number of sites with water, electricity and sewage @ $30 per night. For the convenience of campers and re-enactors, there is a Bath House on site. There is also a new 10-acre Primitive Area campsite set up for the reenactors.

Your immediate attention to returning the above pre-registration form to Bart Chassereau (PO Box 486, Estill SC 29918, phone 803-625-3585) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to hearing from you by January 31, 2016.
