Battle For Broxton Bridge
Reenactment Unit Registration

To Our Friends,

You are invited back to participate in our ninth annual Battle for Broxton Bridge Re-enactment March 4 - 6, 2011. This reenactor friendly event is hosted by Battery C, 32nd Georgia Artillery and 2nd Georgia Regiment Co D, Burke Sharpshooters and sponsored by Salt-Ketchers Chapter #6, Order of Confederate Rose. This promises to be the biggest and best event ever thanks to your continued support.

Living History Day for schoolchildren to tour is Friday, March 4th, beginning at 9 a.m. The battle takes place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Your participation will be greatly appreciated. A blue grass band is scheduled to play for the reenactors at 5:00 p.m. after the battle Saturday.

Even though a registration fee is not required, it is necessary for you to pre-register by January 31st. This will enable us to get a head count for the free pig picking for the reenactors on Friday night, the amenities given out on Friday night and for the free Sunday morning full breakfast.

Bounties will be paid for the first 12 full-scale artillery pieces and the largest Union infantry unit to pre-register. Hay, water, firewood and the Bath House will be provided for the reenactors.

We may be reached by the following:

John Joyner: 706-726-7448
Battlefield Chairman, Bart Chassereau 803-625-3585, Broxton Bridge Plantation 800-437-4868 or Sarah 803-943-4865.

You can download a registration form for the Battle for Broxton Bridge reenactment by clicking here, as well as the Rules and Regulations and the Reenactment Unit Registration form. Or you may scroll up and download the files listed under the picture.

130 RV spots are available for campers @ $25 per night for water and electricity. There are also a limited number of sites with water, electricity and sewage @ $30 per night. For the convenience of campers and re-enactors, there is a Bath House on site. There is also a new 10 acre Primitive Area campsite set up for the re-enactors.

Your immediate attention to returning the enclosed pre-registration form will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to hearing from you by January 31, 2011.

Sincerely,
Battle for Broxton Bridge Committee
