About the Course
Walk-ins are accepted, no reservations are required. You do not have to be a member to shoot at Broxton Bridge. You must check in at our pro-shop before you go the course. We have ammunition and other accessories for sale in the pro-shop.​​​​

The course has 15 stations, each with 2 Promatic Matrix NT trap machines and a Claymate Wi-Card clay counting trap controller. This setup the state of the art in the sporting clays world, visit Promatic's website for more details.

The way it works is when you check in at the Pro shop, you will be given a RFID card. At each station you insert that card into the trap controller, it will then allow you to throw the targets while it keeps count and encodes the total onto the RFID card. At the end of your session, you bring the card back to the Pro shop where it is scanned.

We regularly host clay shooting South Carolina competitions and group events at Broxton Bridge Plantation. From annual shoots to charity fundraisers to youth sporting clays competitions, shooters have plenty of opportunities to test their skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

Annual tournaments. The plantation hosts several major sporting clay events, such as the February Citadel Brigadier Foundation Clay Shoot and the March Jahab Shrine Club Fundraising Shoot.

Corporate and private events. Book private group outings for team-building experiences or fundraising shoots for your next corporate event. Custom event packages are available to fit any group.

Open shoots. Individuals and small groups are welcome to shoot anytime during operating hours. Walk-ins are accepted—no membership required.
Gear Up: Equipment and Safety
Before heading out onto the course, having the right gear is essential. Shooters should bring their own shotgun and ammunition or purchase supplies from our on-site pro shop. The shop stocks a variety of shotgun shells, eye and ear protection, and shooting accessories.
Safety is a priority at Broxton Bridge Plantation. All shooters must follow strict range rules, including:

Firearm handling. Keep firearms unloaded until you’re at the designated station and ready to shoot.

Protective gear. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times to guard against potential hazards.

Muzzle awareness. Shooters should always keep their firearms pointed safely and never at another person.

Supervision and instructions. Participants must follow all directions given by range staff to maintain a controlled shooting environment.
New shooters can use our coaching services to improve their skills. Experienced instructors provide guidance on stance, aim, and shot timing, helping beginners gain confidence on the course.
